Nadia Tumiwa

Nadia Tumiwa is an Indonesian pianist based in Rotterdam. She studied at the Universitas Pelita Harapan Conservatory with Amelia Santoso and completed her master’s degree in classical piano at the Rotterdam Conservatory (Codarts) in 2024 with Nino Gvetadze and Stéphane de May. She is currently enrolled in The Musician Educator program at the Royal Conservatoire of The Hague.

She performs as a soloist and chamber musician and has received prizes at various competitions, including the Prize for Best Performance of a Work by Antón García Abril (2025) and the Gloriamus Piano Competition. Since 2022, she has been a member of the Essenza Ensemble (NSKA) and, together with Sammie Yam, forms the piano duo Sonora Quatre-Mains, focusing on works by female composers.

Nadia has also enriched her musicality through masterclasses with prominent artists such as Dr. Ayke Agus, Manfred Aust, Josef Anton Scherrer, Prof. Nigel Clayton, Dr. Imma Setiadi, Prof. Albert Tiu, Sam Haywood, and Dr. Jihye Chang Sung. She has also received chamber music coaching from renowned musicians including Gilles Millet, Pierre Colombet, Simone Gramaglia, Gijs Kramers, and Julien Hervé.

Nadia is known for her expressive and nuanced performances and has performed in prestigious venues such as De Doelen (Rotterdam) and TivoliVredenburg (Utrecht). She has been invited to perform at the ZOOM music festival in 2024. She continues to explore innovative programs as a soloist, accompanist, and chamber musician.

Nadia is an English-speaking teacher and has been teaching at Rootz Music School since 2025.
